Active Ingredient: Tylosin Phosphate 

Pharmacodynamics: Tylosin is a kind of macrolide antibiotics which can bind to bacterial 50s ribosomal subunit to inhibit protein synthesis. This kind of drug is used for fast dividing bacteria and Mycoplasma. Tylosin is effective against Gram-positive bacteria and Mycoplasma but a stronger effect for Mycoplasma. The sensitive Gram-positive bacteria to tylosin tartrate are Staphylococcus aureus (including MRSA), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas, Listeria, Clostridium, and Clostridium chauvoei. Sensitive bacteria can acquire resistance to the drug. Staphylococcus has cross resistance to tylosin and erythromycin.

Pharmacokinetics: tylosin can be easily absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. Porcine can reach to the highest drug concentration after an hour but absorbs less as time increases. Tylosin’s concentration in milk is 20% of the tylosin concentration in serum. Tylosin is discharged through urine and bile.

Drug Interaction: 1. Have the same mechanism with other macrolides, lincosamide, and amide alcohols, not suitable with same use.     2. antagonize with β-lactams

Indications: macrolide antibiotics. In treatment for avian and porcine Mycoplasma infection and for necrotizing enterocolitis caused by avian Perfringens infection. 

Administration and Dosage: mix with feed, porcine: 45.4~454.5g/kg; poultry: 18.2~227.3g/kg.

Contraindications: can occur dose dependent in gastrointestinal tract imbalance.

Precaution: 1. Do not use for layers during laying         2. Have the same mechanism with other macrolides, lincosamide, and amide alcohols, not suitable with same use.     3. Antagonize with β-lactams     4. Direct contact with human skin may cause dermatitis. Avoid skin contact and always wash with water at once with contact. 

Withdrawal Time:  Poultry and Porcine: 5 days

Storage: store in a tightly sealed container and keep in a dry place.
