Description: light yellow powder

Pharmacodynamics: Ciprofloxacin is a wide-spectrum antibiotic belonging to the second generation of quinolone and inhibit bacterial growth through DNA helicase making bacterial DNA having problem forming super-helix and damage chromosome. Sensitive bacteria will be terminated after 20~30minutes of drug usage. The drug is sensitive to various bacteria including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella, E. coli, Campylobacter, Shigella, Salmonella, Aeromonas, Haemophilus, Proteus, Yersinia, Serratia, and Vibrio. The drug is also sensitive to Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, and Mycobacteria. The drug is not suggested to use with infection from Streptococcus. Berberine is more effective against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as Hemolytic streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio cholera, and Meningococcus. The two drugs have a synergy effect. 

Pharmacokinetics: The half-life of oral dosage in eel is 51.9 hours with the highest peak of concentration of 0.46μg/mL in blood (dosage 10mg/kg) around 0.9 hour. The drug concentration of 10μg/mL usage for 48 hours can reach the maximum peak of concentration of 0.12μg/mL in blood at 0.2 hour with a half-life of 15.5 hours.

Indications: antibiotics. In treatment for eel bacterial infections. 

Administration and Dosage: mix with feed, eel: 15kg/ton for 3~4 days

Contraindications: no discomfort has seen with suggested dosage.

Precaution: No provision.

Withdrawal Time:  500 ˚ C-day
