The antibacterial mechanism is similar to erythromycin. The sensitive Gram-positive bacteria to tylosin tartrate are Staphylococcus aureus (including MRSA), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas, Listeria, Clostridium, and Clostridium chauvoei. The sensitive Gram-negative bacteria to tylosin tartrate are Haemophilus, Meningococcus, and Pasteurella. Sensitive bacteria can acquire resistance to the drug. Staphylococcus has cross resistance with tylosin and erythromycin. Pharmacokinetics: Tylosin can be easily absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract. Porcine can reach to the highest drug concentration after an hour but absorbs less as time increases. After the drug absorption, the drug is dispersed widely inside the body. The concentration using injection is 2 to 3 times higher than orally administrated but not as easily penetrating to cerebrospinal fluid. Indications: macrolide antibiotics. In treatment for avian Gram-negative bacteria and Mycoplasma infection. Administration and Dosage: oral use. Poultry: 1g/L for 3~5 days. Contraindications: no discomfort has seen with suggested dosage. Precaution: Do not use for layers during laying. Withdrawal Time: Poultry: 1 day. Storage: store in a tightly sealed container and keep in a dry place. |
