Povidone Iodine Solution

Active Ingredient: iodine

Description: Red-brown liquid

Pharmacodynamics: the drug is violating the metabolism of the microorganism by constant releasing of free iodine. It is a highly effective disinfection compound with low toxicity against bacteria, virus, and fungus.

Indication: disinfection preservatives. In use for surgery spots, skin and mucosal disinfections. 

Administration and Dosage: calculated by povidone iodine. In treatment for skin disinfection and for skin disease: 5% solution; soaked in with cow’s nipple: 0.5%~1% solution; mucosal and facial wash: 0.1%.

Contraindications: no discomfort has seen with suggested dosage.

Precaution: 1.Do not use on animals with iodine allergy.

2.When the solution turns white or light yellow, it means it is losing its activity.

3.Do not use with drugs containing mercury.

Storage: protect it from light, store in a tightly sealed container and keep in a dry place.
